We went to our old haunt, Almond Valley Heritage Centre, which has a lovely soft play area for under 2s. He loves the freedom of just being able to run around, slide and jump into the ball pit. It has a lovely calm atmosphere with fibre optic lighting and nature sounds playing.

Bringing The Outdoors In - 55/366
It was a beautiful day today but really cold and windy. After another action packed day at soft play with my friend Angela and her wee boy Callum, JC was surprisingly energetic and in the mood for climbing when we got home. So after his nap we brought in his slide so that he could burn up some of that energy. A few months ago he couldn't even climb up the stairs to this slide without our help. It's amazing to see him scooting up and down it independently now.

All Aboard - 54/366
We found a new soft play centre that is just perfect. It's a bit dated but it's clean and the staff are super friendly. The equipment is great for JC to access and he had a blast running around the place. He found this musical bus which he absolutely loved. I had trouble getting him to leave!

A Productive Week - R2BC
It's that time of the week when I tell you what I'm doing cartwheels about or what I am mildly amused by. So what am I cheerful about this week?
1 - It's been a productive week. I've managed to get all my school work done for next week before actually leaving work on Wednesday (which must be a first!) I also managed to get my housework done today so that I can enjoy my weekend without the pressure of chores! So I am really pleased that my time management plan is paying off.
2 - I went to a new soft play centre today with my Friend and her son (who is a similar age to JC). We all had great fun and it was lovely to watch JC charging around the soft play. He is such an active boy and he loves climbing so it really was a perfect place for him. We also spent a good deal of time outside in the garden today (the first time he has been in the new garden) and it was refreshing to get outside for change.
3 - Today is the first day, since the Christmas period began, that I have not eaten any junk. I am feeling the withdrawal effects already but I am very proud of my willpower. I know that a few days 'detox' will make me feel 10x better. Once the taste of chocolate leaves my memory it won't have the same hold over me!
Hope you have all had a good week. I would like to welcome all the new readers who have been popping by over the past few weeks. It's been lovely reading all your comments and getting to know so new fabulous bloggers.
Lucky Charm 13/366
Friday the 13th is seen as an unlucky day but it's not unlucky in our house. I was born on The 13th, my father in law was born on Friday the 13th and JC was born on Friday the 13th. He was born at 13.23 in room 13 and placed in cot number 13. So today is a lucky day for us. We woke up to beautiful weather this morning.
A busy day at soft play today has left my lucky charm exhausted. He is snoozing whilst basking in the sun here...
