Weetabix - cereal or concrete?

We are now on big boy cereal and we started off the day with some weetabix. A nice clean breakfast I hear you say, aye right! It's fine unless you miss a bit when you are cleaning up. It dries on skin and flooring like concrete making it impossible to remove. He loved it though so I guess it's worth the clean up.

For lunch we had some delicious homemade hummus with rice cake and pitta bread dippers. Yum Yum. I have never made hummus before but I was surprised how easy it was. JC loved it and ate it all at super fast speed.

Auntie Kate came for tea and we had a lovely meal together with JC joining us. We all ate the same, tomato chicken with potato wedges and mixed veg. Kate looked rather perturbed when I told her she was getting baby food for tea! I hope she wasn't too disappointed!

We are still practising our sitting up skills and I managed to get a decent photo of him today . . .

  1. Aww, cute photos! Because I let my little one have breakfast out of her highchair I'm forever finding bits of dried (concrete) Weetabix in the carpet.

  4. They are all so different though! We decided to go straight to finger foods at 6 months and it's worked for us but it's not like that for everyone. JC's sleeping has really improved since he started eating a wide range of foods due to the energy required in learning to eat I think. He stills breastfeeds the same amount, the hasn't changed!
