It's my 29th Birthday today and it's been a lovely day. We spent the morning at the farm (post to follow) and in the afternoon I spent my birthday money on a new addition to the household. He doesn't have a name yet, suggestions are welcome! I like Mr Bojangles, Hubby likes Blue.
In the evening I cooked a dinner for my boys, my Dad, his wife, my little brother and my Gran.
My little Grumpinator is still really poorly and is getting worse everyday. Its horrible flu like symptoms with fever. I'm hoping he improves by tomorrow.

An Emotional Month
The month of August has not only been a busy one but also an emotional one. I have not blogged or even felt like blogging this month because the things that have been going on in my life have needed time to be processed in my head before I blurt out my feeling on my blog.
Here I am though, ready to divulge my inner most feelings for you once again.
When we came back from Florida we went straight into organisational mode to get things organised for JC's first birthday party. We invited some of our close family and friends round to our house for a BBQ and it was lovely spending time with everyone. Here are some snaps . . .
Monday the 22nd was the day I had been dreading for over a year. I went back to work. I was worried about fitting in. I am not the same person I was a year ago, so much about me has changed. I have struggled with PND and found myself unable to hold conversations with even my closest friends so how would I cope communicating with parents and children. I was also changing jobs slightly, from Primary School Teacher to Teaching in the Nursery. Although I was excited about this change I was extremely apprehensive as it was something new again.
As it happened my first week back was great and I seem to be settling in fine. It was rather emotional on the Monday when I picked JC up from his child minder as he was crying. She assured me that he had been fine all day and that he was just a little cranky after waking from his nap. I held it together until I got to the car but I couldn't see the road for tears on my drive home. When I got in I handed JC to hubby and off I went tomy crying chamber the toilet for a good bubble.
I haven't cried again since then and it's been a fortnight so I see that as progress.
I have also been gigging with my band again at weekends so I have been extremely busy the past fortnight.
And to finish off with my last piece of fantastic news . . .
We have decided to take our house off the market and let it out. We have just today had our offer accepted on our new house so we are very excited to be moving home to Fife in November!

Happy 1st Birthday
Proud Mum and Dad |
My first cuddle with him |
I'm full of mixed emotion because I am so happy to be celebrating the first year of his life but I am also a bit sad that it has gone so fast and that I will be returning to work in one weeks time.
I wrote him a little poem for his birthday card and I thought I would share it with you. I am not much of a poet and I hated poetry at school so I am well aware that it isn't great but it's the sentiment that counts . . .
This last year has been a whirlwind with tears and laughter too
The good times have been many and they were all because of you
The first six months were tricky and it’s hard for me to say
But I spent most of them crying and trying hard to pray
I hoped to find a cure for colic and take your pain away
But the agony inside you was determined to stay
We gave you the name ‘Grumpinator’ as you were always in a mood
And the only thing the cheered you up was the sight and smell of food
The day we started weaning, the grumping became less
But then along came teething to put my patience to the test
But now you are so happy and it’s so nice to see
That a happier and cheerier boy, there could never be
It’s as though someone scooped out all the pain and replaced it all with joy
You truly are amazing, my sweet adorable boy
Your beautiful smile melts my heart as it stands out from the crowd
To know I helped create you makes me feel so very proud
So as we celebrate your first birthday I just wanted you to know
Just how glad I am to know you and that I love you so.
Happy birthday my wee darling!
