I was still at university & my husband a low rank in the Army, so we had a very simple but fabulous wedding which suited our young ages & style. I can't think of a thing i'd change, we were so sensible about everything we paid for - flowers, photographer, dress, band & DJ. My parents paid for the marquee & food (amazing) with a very simple wedding cake the cater made, gosh it was amazing, my in-laws paid for the alcohol. It was the last big event my mother-in-law attended before passing away from breast cancer too, special memories. It even poured with rain, i didn't stress about a thing, it was so calm & happy. I should add i was working in a bridal registry at the time, i had seen all the disasters & nightmares, so i went in with my eyes WIDE open & knew how to do it the smooth uncomplicated way. 14 years later, my husband & i want to do it again to actually EAT this time, we spent too much time smiling, chatting, dancing & laughing, we barely ate a thing. We'll do it again at the 20th to show our children how much we still love each other, yes, embarrass our 4 teenagers, brilliant.
